Summer reads: some classics, some that come highly recommended and some fun extras.

Summer time is a time when I find I don’t get as much reading done as I would during other times of the year. I’m definitely more of a fall, winter reading person. I love curling up on the couch ideally by a fire, with a cup of tea and a book. However, during the summer I find I am more active, and conversely don’t get as much reading done.

I’ve scheduled myself a fair bit of vacation this summer and I’m hoping to be able to enjoy relaxing a little bit more and with that hopefully enjoy a great book or five.

Below you’ll find my (potentially over ambitious, and subject to change) July to-be-read list.

1. Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney

Goodreads rating: 3.81/5

Centred around two college students, and couple Frances and Bobbi and the unusual relationship they form with an older married couple after meeting on a night out at a spoken-word poetry performance.
