I assume if you are reading this you are someone who is recently engaged, but could also include soon-to-be engaged, recently married, single but interested in weddings, or anybody else in between.

A little bit about me.
I recently found myself engaged to my lovely partner of nearly 8 years. Having been together for the better part of a decade, give or take a few years, and already living together, he already feels like my spouse.
I’ve never really felt a particular calling to have a wedding, nor have I ever felt very bridal.
However, after living in many different cities in my twenties the idea of being able to have my friends and family all in one spot together? That seems like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
I never really have felt like I align with your wedding day is “YOUR DAY” and the other’s-opinions-be-damned mentality.
As a people pleaser through and through I find myself compelled to be a great host – and to me, that means throwing a really great party for my guests (many of whom if they attend a wedding in my current hometown will have…
