If you are keeping up with me you might have seen my recent article about my favourite books I read for the past winter months (bear with me! I know I am woefully late on getting this posted).

You can have a look at that article here.

But, what about the books that weren’t so great?

Well, buckle up and let me talk to you about my most disappointing reads for the winter season.

The Only One Left by Riley Sager

My rating: 2.75/5
Goodreads rating: 4.14/5

This was my most disappointing read of the month. My biggest gripe with this book was the pacing issues — plodding along, until the last fifth where things moved at confusing and unbelievable breakneck speeds.
I just wasn’t able to suspend my disbelief for this one.

Kit McDeere takes a job providing home health aid to an infamous patient, Lenora Hope, responsible for the death of her entire family (who now is suffering from the debilitating effects of a stroke). However, things aren’t as they seem, when the patient begins to tell her story via type-writer.
