February has been a bit of a lax reading month for me so far.

It has been an extremely busy few weeks. I had a bit of a lag in my reading after returning from a week of vacation and hitting the ground running with work.

As I am doing less travelling over the next few weeks I am looking forward to using this downtime at home to get more reading done.

Here’s what I have been reading and am hoping to read this month.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J. K. Rowling

This month I have been re-reading this book.

It has been years since I reread Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. This was one of my all-time favourite books as a kid. My partner (who loves the movies) has never read the book so on a road trip we decided to listen to it by audio.

As a small aside, I am personally extremely saddened and hurt by J. K. Rowling’s transphobic rhetoric.

I feel torn speaking about this book. It truly does remind me of my childhood and brings an incredible amount of comfort me, but I fear by speaking about this book I am furthering the platform of someone who has spewed an enormous amount…
