I Tried Lauren Giraldo’s 12–3–30 Workout
And here’s how it went
As with every holiday season, I found myself overindulging in treats, like many others, and really did try my best to stay physically active (it’s all about balance, right?). When the new year rolled around, with it came resolutions: to eat better and to be more active.
This workout routine caught my attention about a year ago. Owing to the fact I did not have easy access to a treadmill (and with COVID-19 case numbers climbing in the country I live in), I decided to forgo the gym and save this for when I visit my parents next as they do have a treadmill.
It is here I decided to try the popularized 12–3–30 workout by Lauren Giraldo.
For those that are unfamiliar Lauren Giraldo is a 23-year-old social media personality and actress in the United States. She makes mostly lifestyle content for Youtube and Tiktok. In 2019, she released a video detailing a simple workout she does that helped her lose 30 lbs, and tone muscle in the process— the 12–3–30 workout.
In the viral Tiktok that can be found here, Giraldo explains that roughly five days a week she walks for 30 minutes on the treadmill, at a speed of 3 mph and an incline of 12. Essentially this equates to a 30-minute walk up a steep hill. This video went on to gain popularity on Tiktok…
