I agree and I also disagree. Since income is built on reads you want to foster an audience that is interested in the pieces that you are putting out. However, I don’t think that follow for follow would be a thing - it seems like it came about when Medium instituted the 100 followers rule. I think it makes sense to build momentum on Medium and get to that 100 followers
