I can’t believe we are almost into September already.

I am desperately clinging to the last few days of summer and warm weather. But, even though my mind is still thinking “beach”, the one thing that I’m looking forward to for the autumn is my fall reading list.

There are so many books that I have been saving up for the fall season, some scary, some thrillers, some dark academia and some interesting memoirs and non-fiction thrown in for good measure to mix it up.

So read on below to see what I’m kicking off my fall reading list with this September.

How to Murder Your Life by Cat Marnell

This is a memoir that I wasn’t familiar with but heard about on the podcast Celebrity Memoir Book Club (a podcast for lovers of celebrity gossip, reading, and snark).

Cat Marnell was a former writer for xoJane and Vice, working in the fashion and beauty industry at her dream job while suffering from addiction and chaos in her personal life.

This book is a tell-all about the struggle of addiction and the toll it takes.

On Our Best Behaviour by Elise Loehnen
