Best Purchases I Made in 2020

In a year where money was tight and stress was high these were some of my favourite and most used purchases that stood out among the rest. Capitalism, eat your heart out.

2020 was a difficult year for many, for some that meant increased demands and stress at work, for others that source of livelihood was taken away. It was a lonely, scary and isolating year.
In these complicated times a few purchases I made throughout the year stood the test of time and I found myself gravitating back to them over and over again. These are the items that I got the most use out of over the year and ones that I would gladly repurchase again. Without further ado, let’s get to it.

Weighted blanket

This has been an extremely tough and challenging year. I found myself struggling with anxiety and for the first time in my life have had difficulty sleeping. I bought into the hype and tried out the weighted blanket and I’ve got to say it made me feel more at ease and sleep deeper than before. Certainly not a cure-all by any means but I found it very grounding and comforting.

Instant pot

An impulse purchase after a friend made us a brisket dinner using the instant pot at the beginning of the year. It then sat in it’s box unused until lockdown hit in March. Then, left with nothing but time on…
