A Court or Silver Flames Gave Me a Reading Hangover

Sarah J. Maas, what are you doing to me?

It started innocently enough, a book borrowed from a coworker (Throne of Glass), and morphed into a full-on Sarah J. Maas frenzy in which I consumed multiple books by the author in an insatiable tear (the first five books in the Throne of Glass series and the entirety of the A Court of Thorns and Roses series in the span of a month).

No spoilers for Throne of Glass. I’m serious — I will cut you.

But on that note, beware my friends there will be spoilers here for the entirety of the ACOTAR series because I have some *thoughts and feelings* I just have to get out or I will burst.

Heads up, I have some serious problems from book 3.5 onward and I need to voice them.

Now, I did not enjoy ACOTAR until near the end of the book. No plot movement, hated Feyre and found her character decisions to be nonsensical.

But, I hit my stride and found myself enjoying ACOMAF (A Court of Mist and Fury), found the character development to be better thought out, and enjoyed exploring the Night Court in all its glory. I even enjoyed ACOWAR (A Court of Wings and Ruin). I was having a great time up until the novella (book 3.5 if you will) A Court of Frost and Starlight.
